Assuming you already have the Instagram app installed on your smartphone, open the app and sign in. Go to your profile by tapping on the person icon at the bottom right of the screen. On your profile, tap the three dots at the top right of the screen and select “Settings.” In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap “Download Data.” You’ll be taken to a page where you can request your data. Tap “Request Download” at the bottom of the page. You’ll be prompted to enter your email address—enter the email address you used to sign up for Instagram. Instagram will then send you an email with a link to download your data.
Click the link in the email and you’ll be taken to a page where you can download your data. The data will be downloaded as a ZIP file. Once the file has downloaded, open it and you’ll find all of your photos and videos in the “media” folder.

Go to the profile of the person whose story or highlight you want to download. Now copy the username of the person. Now open any Instagram story downloader from Google and in the field provided paste the username of the person.
